A clinical trial was done to evaluate the efficacy of pelviscopic operation followed by postoperative danazol therapy for endometriosis. Twenty-seven patients, from May 1991 to July 1993 were confirmed as endometriosis and initially treated by
pelviscopy. All these patients were postoperatively treated with denazol 800 mg daily. Second look operation was performed after 6 month of danazol therapy. Clinical improvement was assessed by comparison of pretreatment American Fertility
Society(AFS)
endometriosis scores with posttreatment AFS scores.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. Twenty-one of 27 treated patients showed improvement, comparising 77.8 percent in improvement rate and the mean improved AFS endometriosis scores was 18.35¡¾13.26.
2. No response rate of danazol & pelviscopic operation was 22.2%.
3. Associated infertility combined with endometriosis was noted in 18.5% of the 27 cases. Normal pregnancy rate in posttreatment patients who wants baby was 33.3
